The Team

Nathan Good

Nathan Good FAIA, LEED AP, Owner

Nathan's passion for architectural design and 40 years of professional experience has resulted in an award-winning portfolio of projects. Nathan is a registered architect and certified interior designer. He holds a Master's Degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, and devoted his senior year of undergraduate architectural studies at the University of Copenhagen through their Danish International Studies program. At the forefront of sustainable design, Nathan was the fifth individual to be designated a LEED Accredited Professional in the U.S.

Forrest Good

Forrest Good AIA, Architect, Owner

After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University in 2010, Forrest channeled his passion for the built environment into architecture, leading him to pursue his Master's Degree of Architecture at the University of Oregon in June 2015, and his Oregon Architecture license in 2017. When Forrest is not thinking about architecture and design, he is exploring Oregon with his wife and three young children.

Lydia Jesse Peters

Lydia Jesse Peters AIA, Architect

Lydia is a licensed architect with over 15 years' experience with Nathan Good Architects. Her design portfolio includes a variety of new and elegantly remodeled residential projects in the Pacific Northwest. Her architectural and project management experience also includes restaurants and interior design. Through the University of Oregon, Lydia studied architecture in Rome, Italy and participated in the Portland Urban Studies program. She received her Bachelor's Degree of Architecture with a minor in Environmental Studies in 1998. Lydia lives on a heritage farm and enjoys the balance of architecture, farm, and family.

Meghan Laro

Meghan Laro, MBA, Business Operations Manager

Meghan has served as the business manager to Nathan Good Architects for over 13 years. She earned her MBA in finance and accounting from Willamette University in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in 1995. Meghan enjoys travelling with her husband, running, and exploring the outdoors with her two young children and Miniature Australian Shepherd.

Emily Doerfler

Emily Doerfler, Interior Designer

Emily graduated from Oregon State University in 2017 with a Bachelor's of Science in Interior Design, a Bachelor's of Science in Sustainability, and a minor in Renewable Materials. Previously, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles where she received her Associate's Degree in Interior Design in 2014. Outside of work, Emily enjoys travelling and exploring the local beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Nick Katagiri

Nick Katagiri, Designer

A native Portlander, Nick's childhood love of art and drawing eventually grew into a career in design. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Oregon and spent four years at an architecture office in Montana before returning to Oregon to join Nathan Good Architects. He supplements hard work in the office with fly fishing or birding excursions in the mountains and developing his tennis skills on the court.
